SFDS Teams Advance

The Boys CYO playoffs continued this past weekend with the St. Francis de Sales Pee Wee Gold team running out to a 13-5 lead and then using a final spurt to beat St. Margaret, 20-15.

Alex Goldberg led with 8 points, while John Boyle added 5 and Mark Butigian 4. The Novice boys beat St. Andrew and the Rookies rolled over Mary Nativity.

The Bantams had their title defense end abruptly at the hands of St. Gabriel. The Novice and Rookie boys will play quarterfinals this weekend, while the Pee Wees have already advanced to the Final Four later this month.

The Peggy Boyle Tournament is reaching its midpoint, and the remaining schedule includes games this Saturday and Sunday followed by next Wednesday, and ending with Championships on Saturday, March 15.
