Mary Wheeler, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 26.

Wheeler was born in Brooklyn on March 23, 1918.

She is survived by her daughters, Jean Dorthea Wheeler and Barbara Carroll; granddaughter, Christine; grandsons, Vincent and Joseph; and two great-granddaughters.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Calverton Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
