Veronica Jewel Royal
Dietary Aide

Veronica Royal, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 18.

Royal was born in East Meadow on January 24, 1963. She worked as a dietary aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Royal; and sister, Donetta.

Royal is survived by her children, Jamel Cooks and Monica Roberts; sisters, Amy and Paulette; brother, Paul; grandson, Kobe Green; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, with visitation at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Forest Park Cemetery in Morganville, New Jersey.
