for larger version       Sinclair Walter Jeffers Sinclair Jeffers, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 26. Jeffers was born in St. John's, Antigua on August 29, 1946. He worked as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Atiba and Opiaah; sons, Tivon and Nigel; daughter-in-law, India; grandson, Izaiah; brother, Gene; sisters, Leonie Walter and Annette Jeffers; and many other family members.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Disposition was at Fresh Pond Crematory in Middle Village.
