We at the YMCA of Greater New York appreciate the magnificent support of Mayor Bloomberg and all of our elected officials, and we are proud to have had such a warm reception from so many community residents for our plans to build a new YMCAfor the kids and families of the Rockaways. We are committed to delivering a successful project. We are hopeful we can get beyond this current impasse quickly and get back to the work of building a great YMCA for the Rockaway community. We are looking forward to bringing our neighbors the programs and services for which we've been known in New York City for more than 150 years.
