Senator Smith To Host Queens Job Fair

State Senate Minority Leader Malcolm A. Smith announced that he will host a job fair on Friday, March 14, to give Queens residents information on employment opportunities with various businesses.

The job fair will be held from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The Harvest Room, 90-40 160 Street in Jamaica.

Some of the companies that will be represented at the event will include: Samaritan Village; WAMU; Prudential; the FDNY; Health Plus; Enterprise; Time Warner Cable, and the Council for Airport Opportunity.

Senator Smith stressed the importance of using all available resources, including attending job fairs, to find a good job.

"Attending a job fair allows you to meet face-to-face with representatives of a variety of companies with jobs ready to be filled," the Queens Senator said. "Never underestimate the value of face time with recruiters," he added.

For more information on the job fair, contact Senator Smith's district office at 718-528-4290.
