John Riddick, longtime Far Rockaway resident, died February 16.

Riddick, a cook, was born in Jamaica on December 22, 1945. He was a member of the Booster Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Davis and Lucy Riddick; grandmothers, Mary Smith and Annie Austin Davis; and niece Michelle Riddick-Rose.

Riddick is survived by his longtime companion, Christine Rowe; stepson, Michael Rowe; stepdaughter, Sabrina R. Law; sisters, Blanche Riddick-Rose and Geradine Riddick Darden; brother, Henry L. Riddick; nieces and nephews; friend, Leotis Tillery; classmate and coach, Charles Christian; and Booster Club friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home, with visitation and services at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Carver Cemetery in Suffolk, New York.
