for larger version       Ads have a Patent Pending. Click Here for More Information Waveney Bissoon Waveney Bissoon, a longtime Far Rockaway resident, died February 17. She was 67. Bissoon was born in Guyana, South America on July 10, 1940. She was an active member of the Solid Rock Seventh-Day Adventist Church, serving as Sabbath School superintendent, Deaconess, Bible bowl team member, and choir member. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia. Bissoon is survived by her children, Elain, Loraine, Walter, Charmaine, Compton, Simone, Ken, Marlene, Mario, Olivia, and Anish; daughter-inlaw, Sandra; sons-in-law, Cecil and Errol; and countless grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at the Solid Rock Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Interment was at Sorrow Hill Cemetery Bartica in Guyana, South America.
