Becker was born in New York City. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955. He worked as a die caster with Long Island Die Casting in Inwood, New York. He was preceded in death by his companion, Amelia Cahoon. Becker is survived by his niece, Mary Ann Barberi; and nephews, Edward and Joseph Haeussler.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
