Driver In Three-Car Collision Leaves Scene

A driver involved in a three-car collision left the scene of an accident last Saturday afternoon, at the corner of Beach 20 Street and Seagirt Boulevard. A maroon car hit Nissan Maxima as it was stopped at a traffic light. "We got banged up, hit from the back and we hit into the car in front, and it left the scene," said the driver of the Nissan, who preferred not give her name. The driver of the rear car, who also would not give her name, said, "I hit the breaks and went into that car [the Nissan]. They went into another car that fled the scene." The auto that left the scene was identified as a Durango, which the Nissan's driver was able to get the license plate number.
Both vehicles sustained front-end damage and the Nissan also lost its back bumper. No injuries were reported. Photos by Miriam Rosenberg
