Paul Potts -March 6

Live Nation presents British opera singer and Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts on Thursday, March 6 at 8 p.m.

Paul Potts stole the hearts of viewers worldwide with his heart- rending performance of "Nesun Dorma" on Britain's Got Talent, and then blew away U.S. audiences with a show-stopping rendition of the aria on Oprah in November. Now, fans around the country will have a chance to see Potts perform live when he kicks off his firstever U.S. tour on March 1.

Potts' life story is the stuff of legends: on the last day of registration for the TV show Britain's Got Talent, he flipped a coin and let fate decide whether he'd apply. The piece came up heads and he sent in his papers. At the first audition, the former cell phone salesman left the crowd in shock, standing, applauding, many with tears in their eyes (including one of the judges). After Potts won the competition, American Idol mastermind Simon Cowell signed him to a record deal and produced his first CD, One Chance (Columbia), which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Since then he's become a sensation in America, with appearances on Oprah, Ellen, Nightline, The CBS Early Show, and on The Today Show twice in 3 months.

Now, having performed for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh at the 79th Royal Variety Performance on December 3, Paul Potts is preparing for his first ever tour of the United States. Potts will perform a mix of opera and other signature songs, including an operatic rendition of R.E.M.'s "Everybody Hurts," about which E! Online declared "trust us, you want to hear this."
