Vincent D.Kane

Vincent Kane, a 20-year Rockaway resident, died February 15.

Kane was born in Brooklyn. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired firefighter with the FDNY and a member of the Catholic Club.

He was preceded in death by his son, Vincent D. Kane (FDNY 9/11).

Kane is survived by his wife, Joan Lovett Kane; daughters, Patricia Flanders and Elizabeth Reich; brother, Joseph Kane; grandchildren, Kate and Dylan Flanders, Maggie, Erin and Sean Reich.

Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A funeral mass was held at St. Thomas More Church. Interment was at the Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, New York.
