He was a student at Culinary School. He also volunteered at Peninsula Library's Volunteer Literacy Program. He is survived by his parents, Effraim Sr. and Carmen Navarro Baez; brother, Christopher; sister, Marlene Soto; nieces, Alicia and Desiree; and nephew, Brandon.
Funeral arrangements and visitation were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. All other arrangements were kept private.
