for larger version       Dolores B.Doheny Dolores Doheny, a 25-year Rockaway resident, died February 13. Doheny, born in Brooklyn, was an Assistant Principal at PS 47 in Manhattan. After retiring she volunteered at the school. She was a lector at St. Thomas More Church and a member of C.S.J. Associates. She was preceded in death by her brother, Justin Doheny, MD; and sister in-law, Kathryn Doheny. Doheny is survived by her nephews, Justin (Dana) and Lawrence Doheny; nieces, Genevieve Cunnaughton, Regina Kulvereid, Erin Hill, Kathleen Flagello, Jane Moreschi and Eileen Edge; 26 grandnieces and grandnephews; and one great-grandnephew.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, with visitation to be held on Monday, February 18, from 2- 5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Afuneral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. Interment will be at St John's Cemetery in Middle Village, New York.
