West End Joke
Dear Editor,

My husband and I live in Rockaway Beach and always make it our business to buy the Wave to keep up to date with all current events on the peninsula however when we saw the photo and caption for the medical office on Beach 129 Street. We just laughed and laughed! A public service announcement would have better suited that space. I can name at least six locations where litter, dirt and debris is evident and in obvious need of cleaning. It proves to us that folks uptown need to get a grip with reality and realize that there are real litter issues on the peninsula that need to be addressed. It also proves that the people uptown get special attention on their end of the peninsula, because this picture is proof. It is a JOKE to see such a sight.

It was just some leaves, sand and sticks. When you live near the ocean it is to be expected that these natural resources are blown about from one side of the street to the next. If someone from Far Rock, Rockaway Park or Rockaway Beach had complained of the dirt there, it would have never made it to print.

Lets see some press about the mini landfill on Beach 87 Street, on the bay block. You can't miss it.

ROB AND THERESA INGUI
