Seaside Basketball Team Shows It Stuff

Pictured from left to right are Zaquan Tingman, coach Martini and Tylique Darnley.
The Seaside basketball team, at PS/MS 225, is off to a great start. Under the watchful eye of head coach, Adam Martini and assistant coach, Alex Rivera, the team improved to 2-0 last week and they continue to show dedication and good sportsmanship on and off the court.

Principal Matthew Melchiorre has set high standards for the team. Under his guidance, the coaches regularly review report cards and class work for eligibility, check up on attendance and behavior of all players.

The league was founded by Commissioner Joe Lunati, a Scholar's Academy teacher who coordinates the rules and schedule of the league. The league is comprised of eight teams from the Rockaways and the mainland.
