Our Thanks And Clarification
Dear Editor,

I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me, and other members of the Peninsula Preparatory Academy Board of Trustees, to tell our story. We felt very much at home and were delighted to be able to share pertinent information, and hand-outs, significant to the school's successes and achievements.

I do want to point out, however, that neither I nor any member of the PPA Board of Trustees is making demands on the NYCDOE. We wish to present our case and seek retraction and / or remedies to resolve this unfortunate circumstance in which we presently

find ourselves. For

the record, it is paramount that absolute clarity is understood at this pivotal time in our development.

Additionally, our school accommodates grades K-5 and we are presently seeking to amend our charter to provide an After-School, Saturday and Summer Program. Your article was not clear regarding what we are presently seeking in charter revision and what we are hoping to accomplish in the future. Grades K-12 are a future goal. As we strive to make our goal a reality, it is our utmost desire to be as comprehensive as our creativity and planning will allow. On behalf of the Board, we are confident that this publicity is a start, and for this, we are grateful.
