Lillian Rollins a longtime Rockaway resident, died January 12. She was 90.

Rollins was born in Montgomery, Alabama on September 22, 1918. In 1980, she moved from Huntington, Long Island to Rockaway to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Annie Ruth and Arlene Howard; and great-grandson, Rodney Jr.

Rollins is survived by her son, Charles Edward Howard; sister, Peggy Merritt; grandchildren, Rodney, Barbara, Wendell, Felicia, Diane, Charles Jr., Othelia, Andrew, Lauren, Maya, and Nathaniel; daughters-in-law, Lula and Gina Howard; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney's Funeral Home. Visitation and services were held at Gaffney's Friendship Chapel. Interment was at Forest Green Park Cemetery in Morganville, New Jersey.
