'Roc The Youth Tour'Hits Edgemere

The "Roc The Youth Tour", designed to engage the youth of the Rockaway community in a positive activity and to encourage an end to the violence that is endemic in the Far Rockaway community, made its latest stop at the Edgemere Community Center this week.
Tuesday's show consisted of professional and amateur local performers, including several youngsters from the area. The youth councils of the Far Rockaway NAACP and the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation sponsored the tour, which will touch on other Rockaway venues in the future.
