Brothers, a homemaker, was born in Butte, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Brothers. Brothers is survived by her children, John, Richard, Margaret Wernimont, Michael, Jack, and Marybeth Higgins; brother, Jack McGregor; grandchildren, John, Renee, Sean, Vanessa, Liam, Christopher, Katelyn, Joseph, Colin, Jon Michael, Ryan, Meghan, Taylor, Christine, and Daniel; and great-grandchildren, John, Griffin, Kevin, Katie, Kyleen, Aidan, Jack and Connor.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis O'Connor Funeral Home. Services were held at St. Edmund Church. Interment was at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, New York.
