for larger version       Dem Presidential Primary Campaign Coming To Rockaway Local Democrats will be able to participate in the exciting presidential primary campaign at a public forum on Thursday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m. The Good Government Regular Democratic Club invites all local Democrats to join in this event, says Lew Simon, the Democratic District Leader. Representatives of the campaigns of Hillary Clinton, John Edwards, Dennis Kucinich and Barack Obama will present the positions of the candidates and respond to questions from the audience. The Good Government Regular Democratic Club is located at 112-20 Beach Channel Drive, opposite Waldbaum's. Coffee and cake, and bagels and cream cheese will be served. Democratic District Leader Lew M. Simon says that he is proud of his club's tradition of introducing candidates to our community. "This is your opportunity to get answers to your questions and to meet with others who are supporting your favorite candidate." The New York presidential primary will be on Tuesday, February 5. It will be part of the 22-state Super Tuesday, which may decide who will win the Democratic nomination.
