for larger version       Town Hall Meeting On Children's Issues State Senator Malcolm A. Smith will continue his state agency town hall meetings. The next meeting will take place Thursday, January 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. at St. John's Baptist Church, located at 74-05 Rockaway Beach Boulevard. The forum will discuss numerous child care issues in education, child welfare and juvenile justice. Topics to be discussed include reforming the juvenile justice system; alternatives to detention; childcare growth and ensuring quality services (Universal Pre-K); improving child welfare services; and improving linkages to community based organizations.
