Take the Plunge for Cystic Fibrosis

The eighth annual "Take the Plunge for Cystic Fibrosis," will take place on Saturday, February 9 at 1 p.m. at The Belle Harbor Yacht Club, located at 533 Beach 126 Street.

Individuals who will take the plunge for cystic fibrosis and for Annie McMahon, a young woman with the disease, will meet at The Yacht Club before gathering for a group plunge.

After the plunge, there will be an open bar, food, raffles and fun, featuring Moonlight Bay and DJ James Tubridy. There is a $40 Donation and swimmers qualify for free admission and T-shirts with a minimum of $60 in sponsorships.

The event will help raise money to fight Cystic Fibrosis, which currently has no cure. More than 30,000 children and adults in the United States are affected by the genetic disease.
