Center Celebrates New Year And Kwanzaa

New Horizon Counseling Center celebrated Kwanzaa on Wednesday with a lecture about Kwanzaa from client Casandra Wimbs, right. Wimbs has given previous talks about the meaning of Kwanzaa at such places as NY1. Fellow clients joined in as they read the seven principles that guide the celebration. Photos by Miriam Rosenberg The agency also helped ring in 2008 by holding special events on New Year's Day so that people without someone to spend the holiday with had a place to go and someone to be with.
