Breezy Point Hosts Thanksgiving Eve Soccer Game

On Wednesday evening, November 26, the Blessed Trinity Eighth Grade Challenge soccer game took place at the Breezy Point ball field. The game featured the parish's eighth grade girls versus the eighth grade boys.

The game time temperature may have been cool but the action on the field was anything but. The boys' team started the scoring with an early goal which was quickly answered by a resilient girl's team. This see-saw action continued into the night as the teams traded goals throughout the rest of the game. Due to the nature of the game, an official scorekeeper was not present and the game was deemed a tie.

Following the game a reception was held in the Point Breeze Clubhouse where food and refreshments were served. Players and coaches received shirts commemorating the event.

Congratulations to all of the players, many of whom have played for their respective team since first grade, in what was most likely their last CYO soccer game. A special thanks to all the parents for their years of support and for helping make this evening a memorable event.
