The season posed many challenges, but the team played well and welcomed the newcomers. Senior captain Bridget Dalton of Breezy Point leads the team in kills, while senior co-captain Jessica Childres is counted on for assists and great settings. Juniors Jen Jamin and Deirdre Smith, both of Breezy Point, and Christina Shalhoub are great blockers, as well as serves. Junior Molly Tacopina of Breezy Point is an awesome passer, while junior Meaghen McGoorty, also of Breezy Point, is a great right side hitter. Juniors Caroline Rooney of Roxbury and Shannon Mackey of Breezy Point can always be counted on to lead the cheers from the bench to encourage their teammates. Junior Bridget Kinane of Breezy Point leads the team in high scoring, but everyone pitches in to hold on to their team's winning streak. Seniors Ariel Fahy of Breezy Point and Jen Spadaro, and junior Colleen Shea of Belle Harbor complete the winning team.

After a nail biting come-from-behind win against Fontbonne, the team went on to victories against St. Edmund's, Bishop Ford, St. Saviour, Bishop Loughlin and Stella Maria. For coverage of the Fontbonne game, visit www. fiveborosports.com.
