Anglade Named Semi-Finalist In Scholarship Competition

Sister Thomasine Stagnitta CSJ, principal of Bishop Kearney High School, Bensonhurst, announced recently that Ashley Anglade has been named a semi-finalist in the 45th annual Achievement Scholarship competition sponsored by the National Achievement Scholarship Program. Ashley, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Anglade, lives in Ditmas Park and attends St. Francis Xavier School. She is now eligible to compete for approximately 800 scholarships worth over 2.6 million dollars, to be awarded in the spring.

Bishop Kearney High School is a private Catholic secondary school owned and operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph and staffed by both religious and lay people in a cooperative effort to educate young women of Brooklyn since 1961.
