The Gateway Bike & Boathouse (GBB) kickoff party attracted a large crowd of supporters to the home of Bill and Nancy Hanson this past weekend. GBB organizers Rick Horan and the Hanson's welcomed all to the event. Plans to transform the Riis Landing area into a haven for bikers and paddlers were enthusiastically reviewed by attendees. More than $3,320 was donated and the purchase of raffle tickets and T-shirts supported the project. Several attendees also pledged to volunteer time to get the project off to a good start.
