Perfect Pets, located at 19-15 Mott Avenue, was the scene of a dognapping earlier this month when a spaniel puppy worth $1,200 was stolen. A spaniel puppy became the target of thieves when two individuals took the dog from its cage after a third person distracted a clerk at Perfect Pets, located at 19-15 Mott Avenue in Far Rockaway, earlier this month.

According to police, two males entered the store at approximately 12:20 p.m. on November 4. The 101 Precinct reports that the clerk in the store was distracted by a man "having a seizure in the front of the store, and one male and one female went to the rear of the store, removed the dog from the cage and put it in a backpack."

A police source told The Wave that the puppy, worth $1,200, was recovered when "someone saw one perp in the street with the dog and called the police."

One unidentified perpetrator is under arrest. The two other suspects are still being sought.
