St. John's Hospital Dared To Wear Pink

St. John's Episcopal Hospital capped off Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities with a Dare to Wear Pink Day on Thursday, October 30. The Sunbums, St. John's team, walked in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer" event at Jones Beach on Sunday, October 19. The team raised more than $17,000 through pledges, selling ribbons and raffles. They came in third place for the amount raised among teams on Long Island. In addition, the Nursing Department gave breast self-examination demonstrations and had a display about preventing breast cancer.
