White Shamrock Peanuts End Regular Season In The Rain

The rain was coming down in buckets last Saturday night as the White Shamrocks took on the Plainview Hawks at the Broad Channel Memorial Field.

The wind was blowing more than 30 miles per hour and there was very little visibility in the driving rain as the Shamrocks took the field in a torrential downpour which continued throughout the game.

Yet, as usual, the 5 and 6-year old boys played 60 minutes of solid football in their drenched uniforms. It was the final regular season game for the young team consisting of: James and Christian Agoglia, Dominick Maiorano, Ian Byrne, Matt Schmitt, Dillon Ostrander, Jack Collins, Mike McManus, James Tuohey, Jack Ward, Patrick Murphy, Marky Mark Mehta, Mike Buckiewitz, Gerard DeJesus, Andrew Visconti, Jack Tansey, and Matt Celentano.

Special thanks to all of the fans who came out and supporting the team in the rain. One game remains for the White Shamrocks as they will meet the Green Shamrocks in the Broad Channel Shamrock Bowl on November 8 at 3 p.m. at the Broad Channel Field.
