The Stillwells Named Hometown Heroes

In recognition of the services provided to their community, Jimmy and Jackie Stillwell of the Rockaways have been named Hometown Heroes by WABC. The Stillwell's are always willing to lend a hand to their neighbors and friends in need. They reach out to organizations to raise donations including food, clothing and furniture. During the holidays, the Stillwells make an extra effort and purchase toys, clothes and much more for families in the neighborhood. These are some of the reasons that they have been recognized as Hometown Heroes.

The Stillwells will be awarded at the grand opening of The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Veteran's Day, November 11. The keynote address will be delivered by President George W. Bush.
