A huge success occurred on Saturday, October 4, when the Tenth Annual Rita Daly 5K Memorial Run/Walk was held at St. Rose of Lima.

Over 400 runners and walkers participated in the event, which was held on the boardwalk and was followed by a DJ, raffles, trophy presentations and medals for all the children. Monsignor Spengler said a blessing for the runners at the start of the race (and he walked the race).

The event was held in memory of Rota Daly, who was the librarian at St. Rose of Lima for almost 30 years. All proceeds raised will benefit St. Rose of Lima School.
