Frank J. Shanley Jr.
Frank Shanley Jr., a 6-year Rockaway resident, coming from Stanfordville, New York, died October 20.
Shanley was born in Manhattan. He served in the US Army during World War II. He owned Skobliski Lumber Company in Valley Stream. He was a former member of the Lions Club in Stanfordville and the Town of Stanford Planning Board.
He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Kim Powers.
Shanley is survived by his wife, Marie Shanley; daughters, Gale (Gary) Johnson, Susan and Christine; stepchildren, Donna (Pat) Reddan, Patricia (Jerry) Wolfert, Kathy Russo, and Bob (Ann), Mike (Lindsay) and Don Charles; sisters, Alice Hallahan and EIleen Gorman: 21 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church. Interment was at Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains, New York.
