Do Right, Return The Dog

Dear Editor,

This is an open letter appealing to the person or persons who found or took the Pug dog that was lost several weeks ago. Every time I read The Wave and see the heartfelt appeal to please return the dog to the rightful owners, I feel a tug at my heart. I know how it feels to lose a pet as I experienced that many years ago. If you are reading this and you have this dog in your possession and don't know how to return him anonymously to these heartbroken people, there are many ways to do this. You can phone these people and set a day and time to deliver it to them. Perhaps tie the dog up gently outside of Waldbaum's or another store out of harm's way and walk away. Make sure you tie it securely and know these people will come to pick it up.

I don't know these people or their precious pet but I know their hearts are broken and all they pray for is to be reunited with their loving pet. You can always get another dog at any of the veterinary places in Rockaway that always have rescued animals waiting for someone to take them home. You will be doing an honorable thing and ending the pain these people are suffering. Please do this.

You can then look in the mirror and like the person who is looking back at you.
