I Wonder About Dayton Towers

Dear Editor,

I wonder if some of our board members are living here for free, how can they afford rent increases year after year, I can't. I wonder if they are getting free parking also.

I wonder why they overborrowed money from the bank two years ago, and cannot account for the overborrowed money. I wonder why the brick work on 8400 was never done. How some board members could stay on the board year after year without being re-elected. Are our elections crooked? I wonder.

I wonder why management had to withhold water payments because of a billing error, and why did the board go along with that, and what happened to the water bill money? The bill should have been paid, but it was not.

They are supposed to fix our hallways, it's not finished; fix the elevators, nothing done yet; work on the grounds, you don't see any workers. Nothing is ever finished. Are some board members getting kickbacks from contractors, I wonder. We don't need an increase, we need an investigation. What can share holders do? Elect new board members, but keep Grady and McLean, they're fighters. You can also write to Commissioner C. Walpert, HPD, 100 Gold Street, Room 9-Z, New York, NY 10038.

To our new board members, congratulations, vote against the increase. There is a way to make money without raising our maintenance, by installing housing cell towers on our roofs. The Surfside Manor on Beach 95 Street has housing cell towers on their roofs and have been profiting from them for the last two years. I suggested this to a couple of board members two years ago, but nobody on the board ever looked into it. Close the pool up and use the space for parking. Good Luck.
