JHS 198 Staff Members Reunite

Nearly 25 staff members from Benjamin N. Cardozo Junior High School 198, which is now Goldie Maple Academy, gathered at Paddy McGee's on August 15. The teachers spent the afternoon talking of their endeavors and successes at the school and the graduates of JHS 198 who continued on to successful careers and lives. Athough the school no longer exists, the memory of the accomplishments of the Cardozo staff and the Arverne community remains. Pictured left to right (bottom row) Sheila Curran, Rose Gurry, Dave Haspel, Jean McKenna, Leila Alexander, Alan Yancovitch, Karen Feinberg, Gwen Pruden, Natalie Gordon and Brian Sackrowitz (front row) Bill Barishman, Andrew Hickey, Tom Arundel, Ferne Barishman, Cheryl Bernstein, Mary Dever, Ronni Nachemin and Debra Leshnower.
