Once Again, To Clarify
Once again I write in response to Ms. Docherty's letter. First off let me say that I was not attacking or questioning Ms. Docherty's heritage and/ or family background. But know that we all know it. (By the way, proof will not be necessary, we believe you.) I congratulate her family Ms. Docherty on
her daughter's engagement, although I do not know whatthat had to do with the price of tea.
If I seemed angry with Ms. Docherty, I apologize. My anger was aimed at the diner and their management, and I wanted everyone to know the fact that Ms. Docherty implied that everyone working at the diner was here illegally, and that if immigration came they would clear out the store. And that was not the case.
People come to America for various reasons, not just for a better wage, but perhaps they were being persecuted in their homeland, but enough of this back and forth. I have a life that needs tending. So lets SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT. 1. I'm not angry. 2. I'm not embittered. Just a mom who wanted the best for her daughter.
