Make NYC Greener, Plant A Tree In Bayswater Park

Join Earth Day New York's Nurturing Nature Program at Michaelis-Bayswater Park on November 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will make NYC greener and greater, by planting 1800 baby trees as part of the MillionTreesNYC initiatives in Queens.

Bayswater Park athletic facilities include handball courts, three basketball courts, six tennis courts, and a large baseball field located near the water, as well as being adjacent to a natural scrub forest managed by the NY State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The baby trees will be planted around the DEC property, expanding the forest canopy around the northern and western edges of the park. Volunteer to help plant trees and bring more shade to Bayswater Park. Refreshments will be served and participants should dress comfortably and wear a hat and sunscreen.
