Midget Shamrocks Lose Heartbreaker To Farmingdale

The BCAC Midget Shamrocks lost a close battle against Farmingdale, 44- 38, last weekend.

The Shamrocks started out a little slow as Farmingdale jumped out to a 19-0 lead in the 1st quarter.

The shamrocks would rally with two scores by Jordan Jessup (14 carries for 91 yards and 2 touchdowns)

BCAC was down 25-13 at halftime but the shamrocks would get the ball to start the third quarter.

They would drive the ball 65 yards and Marco Minichino would punch it in from 1 yard out. Mario Cimino's (3 catches 1 touchdown) extrapoint cut the lead to 25-20.

The Shamrocks defense could not stop the great running back from Farmingdale as he would score 5 touchdowns. BCAC kept fighting with Danny Hoff's excellent running from the backfield (14 carries for 201 yards, 2 touchdowns). The offensive line of Zack Warner, Ray Lamantia, Nick Lupola, James Lee, Kyle Hilgendorf, who's blocking would help keep the Shamrocks in the game.

There was great blocking by the end Matt Trudden and the fullback rob Kollmer. Keith Servello, Rob Martin, Vinny Finizio, Ryan Pannetta, Patrick Foye and Nick Manzi would have a great game defensively.

Minichino had his best overall day this season at quarterback (3 for 4, 26 yards, 1 TD, 1 extra point,1 rushing TD ,1 rushing extra point, 7 carries for 65 yards.)

The shamrocks overall played their finest game this year and now have to get ready for their game this week at Lindenhurst on Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. Go Shamrocks!
