Thaddeus Schneider, who was featured in The Wave back in May, is starring in a new television pilot, "Skels," which premiered in front of audiences two weeks ago.

Schneider, who recently won the Best Actor in a Feature Film award for his role in the film, "Love Like Blood" at The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival this year, has embarked on a new endeavor.

Schneider, along with his other costars, appeared at the Village East Cinema in Manhattan on September 25, for the red carpet New York premiere of "Skels." The show was produced by Cos Cob productions and presented in conjunction with The New York International Independent Film and Video Festival.

In the show, Schneider plays one of three brothers who are New York cops. Their story is set in a crime drama style show that details the personal lives and struggles of the three characters. The pilot presents the challenge of balancing their police work and sometimes struggling home lives.

The shocking opening of the pilot has a female Metro North commuter jumping the train platform to her death. The scene introduces a show that authentically tells tales of crime, drugs, and mishap in New York City.

"I play a White Plains cop who is the outcast of the family, even though we are very tight knit, but I am a great police officer who is always there to save lives and do his job."

"It was great filming this and it was lots of fun. The premiere went well and we had a large turnout."

The pilot, although without an official television deal, has garnered significant attention from several major networks.

In addition to acting, however, Schneider's main focus right now is on screenwriting. The upcoming production of a film called "Cartel Heist," which he co-wrote, about four men who carry out a diamond heist in Manhattan, is a project Schneider hopes to film right here in Rockaway and other parts of the city.

Schneider and his production partners are close to a deal that could bring the screenplay to life in the very near future.

Schneider stills lives right here in Rockaway Beach and occasionally bartends at the Irish Circle, while working towards fulfilling his goals as an actor.
