Clarity Honored At USMMA Awards Dinner

Clarity, Broad Channel resident, was honored on Thursday, September 25 during the United States Merchant Marine Academy Homecoming 2008 Awards Dinner. Clarity, class of '58, followed a 27-year Navy career with a successful maritime career. Attaining the rank of Captain, USN, he commanded a guided missile destroyer and the Naval Station at Pearl Harbor. He served as Vice President - Pacific for Sea Mobility, Inc. and General Manager for Inchcape Shipping Services, Hawaii. He was president of the Honolulu Propeller Club and Chairman of the Maritime Committee of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce.
