All Should Follow Parking Rules

Dear Editor,

I agree with M. Jones that the senior citizens parking at St. Francis de Sales should comply with parking regulations established by the principal. However, she needs to also look around at how her fellow parents park. Each morning they park on the beach block or on the boulevard where there is no parking allowed. When they pick up their children from CCD, if there is no one to guide them, they double park, park in driveways and [block] hydrants and let their children jump in the car in the middle of the street as cars honk behind them.

The CYO parents routinely park "just for a minute" at the hydrant or in driveways, while they watch their children's basketball games, for an hour. One coach apparently thinks he has the right to park by the hydrant because he is a volunteer! All parents need to abide by city parking regulations for the safety of all children in the area, not just their own.
