On Thursday, September 25, the firefighters of Engine 257, Ladder 170 and Battalion 58 hosted the Seventh Annual "A-Team" Memorial 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at Riis Park Recreational Facility. The tournament is played in honor of firefighters Lt. Joseph Cavalieri, FF Christopher Bopp and FF James Bohan from Ladder 170, who made the ultimate sacrifice on December 18, 1998.

"Whenever Lt. Cavalieri worked he always said he had the 'A-Team' working with him," said FF Michael Keane, L-170. "So we thought it was a great way to honor our brothers."

This year's tournament was host to over 50 teams from firehouses all over the five boroughs. The proceeds from the tournament go to the "A-Team" Memorial Fund which helps a high school student with tuition.

Cori and Carli Bopp presented the winners of the A Division, Engine 246, with their championship plaque. Cori and Carli Bopp presented the winners of the A Division, Engine 246, with their championship plaque.
