Arverne Man Stabbed Twice In Abdomen
      Police say that an Arverne man walking on Beach 67 Street north of Beach Channel Drive was stabbed twice in the abdomen by an unidentified assailant Wednesday night. According to sources, Darren Tate, 41, was walking in front of 344 Beach 67 Street when he was accosted and stabbed twice.

33 Years For 'Steak And Egg' Killer
      The man responsible for ending the life of a 30-year-old Far Rockaway native last summer in a Washington, D.C. diner has been convicted and sentenced to 33 years in prison, according to federal prosecutors.

Contact With Concrete Sends Driver To Hospital
     A Suffolk County motorist driving eastbound under the Rockaway Freeway at Beach 59 Street at about 5:25 a.m. on Wednesday lost control of his vehicle and struck one of the concrete pillars that hold up the subway line, police say. The driver, identified as Kenneth Stedman of Farmingdale, Long Island, was taken to Jamaica Hospital with unspecified injuries. Pictured, the scene of the accident. Cops Seek Two In OV Assault, Robbery
      Detectives from the 101 Precinct in Far Rockaway are searching for the two men who assaulted and robbed an Ocean Village resident on September 10. Police sources say that an unidentified 20-year-old man was waiting for an elevator at 146 Beach 59 Street.
