Custodian Nabbed For Molesting Young Boy

The custodian at a Far Rockaway synagogue was arrested last week for molesting the son of a congregant in the house of worship's basement over a two-year period, police officials say. Officials identify the man as Jacek Marczewski, 46, who worked at the Congregation Kehelas Jacob at 821 Roosevelt Court in Far Rockaway. More...

Everybody has his or her own way of honoring the memory of those who died in the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. An ex-Marine, who identifies himself only as B.W. Spyder, has erected a small metal memorial on the bay wall on Beach Channel Drive at Beach 128 Street. An accompanying note says in part, "Feeling from the heart: In a day of mourning, the loss of friends and family, may we never forget the lives that were lost on this day and never forget those who have taken them away. Anthony Brunner, a former Belle Harbor resident, died September 11 in Mobile, Alabama. Brunner was born in Rockaway Beach on March 2, 1960. He attended high school and college in Vermont and spent the last 20 years in Gulf Breeze, Florida. According to family, he was an accomplished fisherman, diver and loved construction work. More...
