NPS Hosts Two Walks This Weekend
      The National Park Service will host two walks at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge this weekend. Join a coastal biologist for an exploration of the restoration of Big Egg Marsh on Saturday, September 13 from 1 to 3 p.m. The group will meet at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge visitor center to carpool.

Making Waves
      With the Democratic and Republican National Conventions concluded, everyone, everywhere, including the media is reporting that the McCain- Palin ticket is indeed "Making Waves" and it looks more like a tsunami. Gallup Polls as of September 8 have McCain-Palin up 49 percent-44, percent and it appears that it will broaden based on the reports that I have been reading.
