Everyone Should Know Criteria For President

Dear Editor,

In his letter last week, writer Joseph Ceder asked, "Where are the criteria of who can and cannot be considered for such a high position?" in reference to Senator Obama's candidacy for president. I'd suggest he not become a contestant on the "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader" show. Any reasonably educated American ought to know that the criteria as to who may be considered is set forth in the Constitution. Beyond those specially set forth, the criteria in our free society are those that each individual voter deems required in the person each opts to vote for.

I haven't decided which candidate has my vote yet, but the content of Mr. Ceder's letter pushes me closer to opting for Obama. I've had more than enough of the demonization of Democrats by the radical right over the last decade.

THat's right. Vote for the least qualified person that has not really accomplished very much in his career because he will bring you hope and change. This is the man that said "America is the greatest country in the world and a vote for me is a vote for change".
