Kearney Physics Scholars Honored

Seven Bishop Kearney High School juniors, who were enrolled in physics, were selected to attend the Principal's Scholars Dinner/Symposium at Polytechnic Institute in Brooklyn on May 14. The event provides the students who excel in science, mathematics and computer science with the opportunity to interact and explore the career options available in the technological fields. Students were treated to a dinner and a presentation by Poly staff member Professor Keith Ross. He discussed his current research in the area of "Internet Research in Academics." The event culminated with the presentation of certificates in recognition of the students' outstanding accomplishments.

The juniors who attended the event were Allison Behette, Courtney Clerkin, Bridget Dalton, Molly Molino, Marissa Peregine, Deidre Stokes, all from Breezy Point, and Elaina Tsimbikos.
