Peninsula Hospital Center Volunteers Trained In Hospice Care

Peninsula Hospital Center and the Hospice Care Network completed the training and orientation of 25 new volunteers for the new "Butterflies by the Sea," Eisenstadt Hospice Center at Peninsula.

Hospice Care Network and the Hospital Center personnel were very touched and encouraged by the overwhelming response from members of the community who wanted to become an active part of the new hospice program and volunteer their time. The new inpatient Hospice Unit at Peninsula Hospital Center is a seven bed private-room unit which began accepting patients on July 21.

The official dedication of this special program is scheduled for October 27, 2008.
